They're all of varying levels of mediocrity, but certainly Mick's book (an autobiography of sorts) & Sam Emerson's book (the only authorized bio) are two of the best. The Steve Clarke/Roy Carr book "Rumours 'n' Fax" is worth reading, too, as are all the articles in the Blue Letter Archives.
The others (by Charlie Walters, Ed Wincentsen, Leah Furman, Peter Lewry
et al.) are embarrassments, & Bob Brunning's books are at least well-written.
