Thanks for finding and posting this article, FuzzyPlum. It's nicely written and informative. I spotted a couple of minor factual errors (Jeremy Spencer was an original member of the band, not an early addition - John McVie was the early addition; Bob Weston played on two albums, not just one), but neither are central to the main points of the article. Unlike articles about the band by many current writers, Sommer seems to have a reasonably solid grasp of the subject matter.
Sommer makes some good points and presents some interesting analogies, and though I don't agree with all of them, I think most of them hit the mark. Nice to read an article on Danny Kirwan, who is too often ignored, and especially an article such as this one that goes beyond the superficial.
