As I write this post I'm listening, yet again, to SONGBIRD from FM’s The Dance Video.

Christine's performance captures and melds, flawlessly; heartfelt sentiments about a period in her life with a playing performance unparalleled in emotion, technique, timing and poignancy.

I love this song. No one plays or sings it better than Christine McVie but this particular recital is different, it contains something extraordinary, something intrinsic to Christine’s thoughts and feelings at that precise moment in time.

Her performance conveys an remarkable resonance of genuine sadness yet gives unequaled contentment because of the curious juxtaposition of musical catharticism with a message of sincere loss…..or is it farewell?

A definition of musical genius; but does anyone else feel this emotional when they listen to this song?

Like a laser locked on to its target I cannot prevent my craving to listen to Christine’s performance of SONGBIRD!
