I'm more of a fan of Norman Lear's spin-offs from AITF, Maude and Good Times. But he is such a tremendous writer and Jean Stapleton just owned the role of Edith. She was a legend and will be missed, but certainly had quite a life.

Yes I agree.No substitute for Edith Bunker.
The spinoffs were great quality TV.I think todays show are boring except a few.
Peter Marshall's shows were great too.
