I am heartbroken by this news. Danny was, and will be, so often in my thoughts. There was always a lost, ethereal quality of beauty in his work for Fleetwood Mac. I only hope he found some peace in his later years.

A couple of weeks ago I compiled a three hour play list of Mac songs from the six albums from Kiln House to Heroes are hard to find. Danny's music comprised a third of it and I was entranced by it all over again.

When the white flame in us is gone,
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness, left alone
To crumble in our separate night;

When your swift hair is quiet in death,
And through the lips corruption thrust
Has stilled the labour of my breath --
When we are dust, when we are dust!

Rupert Brooke, set to music by D.K.
