I somehow doubt that's the case. Stevie hasn't really been a part of Fleetwood Mac's recording sessions since "Tusk," though I'll give you that's mostly true of John, too.
I think it's the four players starting the session, and Stevie will come in (again) when they're doing the vocal overdubs. I bet John wants to do ANYTHING but being sick, and getting back with Mick and Chris, and Lindsey, is just what the doctor ordered.
