I learnt a new word today.

They aren't the best of people.
People who've been around it always say fame and power goes to people's heads and changes them. You start to realize no one will tell you no, no one will say you're wrong, and you can shoot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue and nothing will happen to you.

Carol said several times in her book that the enablers around the band reinforced this-- whenever someone in the band behaved badly -- drugs, alcohol, stealing a wife/girlfriend/boyfriend, whatever-- no one ever put the blame on the band member involved. Other people took the fall or the blame. Or else everyone else just sucked it up. Ken also; Richard never said it but sort of danced around it.

Bob Welch talked about how insufferable Mick became and the others too after the big fame hit. I think with Stevie after all the solo success came it reached even higher levels. You want to stay up all night putting on costumes and taking photos, no one will tell you they're too tired they'll just kiss your butt.

Honestly I'm not sure I'd want to really know any of them.
