I realize that, but it was Mick's drumming skills, enthusiasm, and musical chemistry with John that inspired Peter to form Fleetwood Mac in the first place, and to woo John away from the Bluesbreakers. Yes, Peter was the musical genius behind the formation of the band; but his musical sixth sense also recognized something very special in Mick. And even though Peter formed Fleetwood Mac, I don't know that he was ever it's true leader, even during his short tenure with the band. Peter may have sired the band, but Mick has long been it's true parent.
