I think he is mocked, but not for anything he's done as an individual because, as you say, I'm not sure that everyone is aware of his individual abilities. I think he is mocked as being a member of FM, that band that plays
Don't Stop. Even some of the Grammy finale announcements knocked him beforehand. They didn't understand him being paired with the rockers and were smirking about it.
