Amen. The acoustic "Friend" is the best non-Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac song of the last thirty years. The electric version is very good too, but it's a bit overlong and lacks the acoustic version's crispness and propulsive keyboard work. So many songs on In The Meantime are simply the best Mac music we have since Tango. Go on--disagree if you must, but that's what I feel. "Giving it Back" and "Forgiveness" are career highlights, as are "Calumny" and "Northern Star." Oh well, the album that much of the world didn't notice...
