I think you need a bit torrent program to turn your files into a torrent. I have bit-torrent on my system but have only very occasionally used it to download TV programmes I have missed, and one live Peter Gabriel concert.
I think what the people who recorded the Gabriel concert did was convert each individual track into an mp3, then make a torrent...with bit torrent you can choose to download all the files within a torrent or just some.
