You're right about that. Just about everyone uses them these days. It's much easier to name those who don't than to list everyone who does. I'm not sure if Stevie solo does, can't tell from the videos I've seen (however the DVDs like Live in Chicago are definitely edited), but she has her extremely loud backup singers who sometimes give off that same annoying effect.
