In my experience, regardless of the type of concert, people are usually cool with kids, as long as the kids are well-behaved.

I haven't taken either of mine to see a big arena show yet, but I tested them out when Cute Guitar Boy's band was playing an all-ages show a couple of weeks ago and they did really well, though my youngest (she's 8) got a little overwhelmed a few times. When that happened, I just took her outside and sat with her for a bit to let her chill out before heading back in again.

The other guys in the band brought their kids along, too, so we had this little cluster of tiny headbangers right up front, and everyone loved it. One of the bands that was on before CGB's even pointed out my son and the keyboardist's son for the whole venue, telling them how awesome they were, lol. Tons of fun.

But like Jannie said, definitely bring earplugs. And make sure to be even more aware of your kid's surroundings while you're there, too - I know you would keep a good eye out anyway, of course, but I've actually had way more unpleasant experiences with idiots at Stevie shows than I have at even the rowdiest metal gig I've ever been to. Last thing you need is for the kiddo to get snowplowed from behind by some drunk jackhat trying to get closer to the stage.

All the same, baby. All the same.

"You never know what I'll do. I've resequenced my show. I'm a master at sequencing. I'm the one who sequenced for Fleetwood Mac. I sequenced 'Rumours.' Everyone loves my sequences. They're fun.''
