To take the story a bit further from Doug's post...

A late night DJ mistakenly played the ARS tune at the wrong speed...to cover his ass, he back-announced it as the new Stevie Nicks single. Until the invention of Napster, the hoax had died out. Somebody must've remembered the hoax and made an mp3 of "Imaginary Lover" at the faster speed to re-start the hoax.

It is NOT just "Imaginary Lover" that sounds like Stevie when sped up. If you play an ENTIRE Atlanta Rhythm Section album at, oh, 37 or 38 RPM, every song will sound like Stevie. The funny thing is, if you play it at 37 or higher, it sounds like a younger Stevie...play it at 35 or 36 RMP, it'll sound closer to a Tango/Rock A Little era Stevie.
