BAM Magazine was a free publication, with no frills. Basically a magazine about the bay area music scene and culture. I guess at some point they also had a southern california edition as well. In any event, BAM was always such a bare-bones publication that their photo shoots were low-key, low-end. They never tried to be Rolling Stone.
