yes. i listened to that song again yesterday, and thought about that. i'm wondering whether they changed the lyrics now, updated them maybe? because some of the lyrics in that particular song were really clunky, but the whole paper and border were odd and intriguing. as was his British phrasing (never meant to give you a frown or 'round the corner).
so i pulled lyrics from the net

Sleeping Around The Corner
She called to me
Meet me at the border
Wake me up when my papers are in order
Lord I dont want to bring you down
No, I never meant to give you a frown
I'm just sleeping around the corner
Lord I dont want to bring you down
No, I never meant to give you a frown
I'm just sleeping around the corner
We made sweet love over and over
She said oh sweet darling
I'm your little red rover
Lord I dont want to bring you down
No, I never meant to give you a frown
I'm just sleeping around the corner
She said to me, I dont mean to scorn you
But I'm been lying
And I've been too scared to warn you
Lord I dont want to bring you down
No, I never meant to give you a frown
I'm just sleeping around the corner
Lord I dont want to bring you down
No, I never meant to give you a frown
I'm just sleeping around the corner
