Yeah but how loud can you crank a Fender Rhodes in a mix? It's not like a bright acoustic presence (like a barrelhouse upright, for example). The Rhodes is supposed to be sinewy, silky & slinky, perhaps even more felt than heard. To blast the gain on it in a mix for a smooth pop song is going to unbalance the equilibrium of the sonic column, & create a soundwave tsunami, swamping shorelines of human & animal ears around the Pacific basin.
