Luke, is it physically possible then to go back and "fix" this album for a re-release? Are the masters in any kind of shape for this?

From an economical standpoint there may be no chance of this happening, but I love this record. When I was a kid, this was the first FM vinyl I remember buying on my own after listening to Rumours for years and owning Bella Donna. It has a tremendous amount of sentimental value.

The CD is unlistenable. The vinyl is better and through headphones is a revelation. Right now I am living with a digital transfer of the vinyl I did myself.
