Default Peter Green & Friends in Frankfurt

Hello from Germany,

this is my first post. But since I discovered the Peter Green Forum years ago I am looking here for news almost every day. Thank you, by the way. Now it's up to me.
First of all sorry, for my English is seldom trained.

The reason why I have to write is my visit to "Peter Green and friends" in Frankfurt, Germany, 15.6.2009. This is my review.

I would like to summarize briefly, because to me it doesn't matter which song, what kind of solo, how arranged.
In short it was a pleasure and a privilege to see and to hear Peter Green on stage.
It was a lovely concert: Peter Green singing most of the songs, playing every guitar-solo, playing harp. Concentrated, but smiling again and again. Gently guided by Mike Dodd, his charming sideman. Occasionally comments by Peter Green. Kidding on stage.
The band tight, nice, serving Peter Green. They seem to be friends indeed. And they were really laid-back, relaxed. Everyone.

Peter Green is so familiar to me, because he accompanies me for more than 30 years. I know exactly, when I got into him. It was the first time I heard "Love that burns". By chance. I had bought a "Best of"-Album Fleetwood Mac just because of the red stage-light on the cover, knowing nothing about the band. I was fifteen. It was stunning.
There's a lot of music I heard in my life, and there were times I didn't hear Peter Green, because there was so much music to discover, so many songs to hear.
But I always returned to that very special artist. No one ever touched me the way he does. With a song, with his voice. With one single note.

And in Frankfurt he remained familiar to me. He touched me. That's it.

So this is not a comeback. This is a beautiful person, a great artist, a genius. A soulful musician live on stage. Finally singing for me "Rainy night in Georgia". Leaving me with a smile.
This wasn't just a concert. this was a great experience.
Thank you, Peter Green. You are a part of my life. And you always will.

Greetings from Ari
