Default Acoustic Fleetwood Mac

Saw the track listings for the PGSG DVD coming out in the next few weeks and the one number that struck me was "I Believe My Time Ain't Long" -
This kicks off the "electric" set and I thought it was unfortunate that they didn't choose to do it acoustic -
FM's first single, it was also, I feel, one of Jeremy's finest recorded performances - to really appreciate the nuances, listen to the remixed version on the Blue Horizon sessions box set -
A retitled version of "Dust My Broom", this version, with Green supplying a deep harmonica groove, closely resembles Elmore James' original recording of the song, with Sonny Boy Williamson on harp, recorded in 1951 -
I think if FM's version had been a hit - or if Mike Vernon had encouraged Spencer to pursue his acoustic playing - it's believed Spencer auditioned for Blue Horizon with "Mean Old Fireman" and "Allow Me One More Show" - again, excellent showcases for his abilities -
Vernon should have either released those takes long before '71 or had him cut similar material -
I understand that, at the time, this material would only be suitable for the studio: for records or BBC sessions -
Just something I would have like to have heard
