I think Tommy has a few very weak parts in it; such as "Welcome" or the whole "Underture" debacle that just lasts too long. It was better when they played it live and left those off.
But The Lamb doesn't sustain its momentum completely anyway. The whole "Riding The Scree" bit for Tony Banks isn't anything but useless show-offing. The same (for all instrumentalists) could be said for "The Waiting Room".
The only perfect double albums for me? The White Album and Tusk of course.
