It's funny Hackett chose that particular song - I had long thought it would be an excellent number for Green himself to cover - the spare arrangement is custom made for Green's guitar and the (near) spoken lyrics, suitable for his voice -
With all due respect to Hackett, the "Green sound" he aspires to is not that from the Bluesbreakers years, it is much later -
Hackett does like his atmosphere though, juicing the track with nature sounds (night birds and crickets) - a bit much, but coming from a veteran Prog-rocker, fitting
