Florida dodged a bullet. Matthew never came ashore and the devastating eye wall stayed a hundred miles off the coast. We got some tropical storm wind gusts but that was all. I don't think anyone in Florida had sustained hurricane winds.
How lucky we are. If a cat. 4 hurricane came ashore there would be devastation that would take years to recover from.
