I agree, as you all say, Gary Moore was generous in his praise for Peter Green. A genuine fan, who helped promote him after years in oblivion. But I don't like Moore as a musician - didn't even like "Still Got The Blues" from the late eighties, when everybody loved it and it was played everywhere all the time for months on end.

I always thought it a pity that Gary played Green's guitar. He attacked the poor thing as if he was going to make matchsticks of it

Unfortunately the clip on Youtube of Gary and B.B. King playing "The Thrill is Gone" has been removed. Otherwise I would have posted it on this spot. Sad, because I actually liked Gary in that. It was as if B.B. had a restraining influence on him.
