Q: The Pretenders have an upcoming gig at Wrigley Field in Chicago opening for Journey and Def Leppard. Are you surprised to find yourself on the same bill as Journey?
A: I don’t know much about them, so I’m not surprised. I also just toured South America with Phil Collins. That was a surprise. I did a couple of tours with
Stevie Nicks, also a surprise. I’ve been on the bill with all sorts of odd combinations. I’m not quite sure where I or anyone fits into it at the moment, because it’s a funny scene. It just feels like it’s wide open and anything goes.
