I think it's time for Lindsey to put away Fleetwood Mac for good, and permanently take up his own work. This ending is his opportunity to devote himself to himself, without having to pull musical punches for the functional aspects of a circus and spectacle. He said so himself earlier in the year, so let him treat it like one.

He can do anything he wants now (as long as he can afford it): He can record when he wants and what he wants, and he can play out live when he wants and what he wants. He can find whatever other outlets he wants, too, whether that's scoring movies (everybody knows James Newton Howard and Danny Elfman more for their movie scores than their earlier band work) or painting or writing or even teaching master classes in music technology so that the Brian Wilson and George Martin approaches aren't lost forever.
