New artists don't want old ideas/thought processes in current production. I was shocked when he told me that he he could barely land a project these days(and no, they're set financially, and have a beautiful house way up in the hills). So for Ken having a hit album 45 years ago, it doesn't mean much now(at least to newer current artists).

ah, you're right he started with Rumours. My bad.

Yeah artists today likely don't want his help in production. He was producing his daughter but after that first hit she had I haven't been aware of anything she did afterwards with him.

But did he buy the studio thinking that the magic of who and what had been recorded there would have some sort of appeal to younger artists perhaps??
