I could swear SNL previewed that Fleetwood Mac was going to be the musical guest on the season premiere several years ago- don't remember which season it was. They were on tour at that time, so it seemed like a definite. Would have been in September. Maybe for Say You Will? Anyway, I remember being disappointed when, after the announcement, it never happened but I'm sure it was due to scheduling. I'm surprised Lindsey didn't know they had been announced as the musical guest, he seemed to think they'd just never been asked.
Anyway, can anyone else verify this? I really have a clear memory of this, but Lindsey's comments are making me wonder...
