I know Chris would like to pretend she never made the Christine Perfect album, but I think it is a treasure. Chris doesn't like it because she thinks it is underproduced and the music is unadorned, but in my opinion that's what makes it so great. Chris' superb blues piano playing and simple, pleasing vocals are what make this album such a joy to listen to. Her choice of covers as well as her own developing songwriting provide a group of excellent songs to showcase her talents. To this day I prefer this to the 1984 album and still listen to it occasionally.
