Well 27 years ago they were very infrequent and there were only a few routes now some of them are 3 or 4 times an hour , there are many more routes and they are very useful . back then they wouild occassionally ignore your outsrtreched arm and sail by, and you would have to wait another hour or walk !!
In a few months they are making some tube lines 24 hours at weekends !
