LB solo was playing those kind of venues his last 2 tours, so how could that be true for FM? and i can tell you, almost nobody recognizes his name. everyone has at least heard of this legendary band, Fleetwood Mac, while they may be unfamiliar with who exactly are the band members.
without Christine (and
with Stevie!), just a year ago, Fleetwood Mac was playing 80% full arenas for less than $100 for floor ticket. with Christine, now, they are playing sold-out arenas, same ones as last year, for more than $200 for floor ticket. do the math.
without Stevie, FM would be less commercial, but less stuck in a rut and far more prolific, as their recent recording sessions make it quite clear.
i expect that most people on these boards are huge fans, who care about output and having new music and seeing [different] live shows more than about whether these multimillionaires will make a bit more money.
