That's the quote as I read it on the LB Savage page on FB.
The premise is as follows:
Elle didn't bring it up and asked if he was ok. However, because they know each other, and as she was about to walk away, he said, "
You know it was all Stevie?"
Before that, he had asked her if she left DC to move to Portland. Which tells me they know each other rather well.
This does not say he is blameless. It does tell us the main characters and quite supports the "Him or Me" theory.
