The whole PREP thing really nags at me. In my opinion, it encourages unhealthy practices. The reality is that HIV is no longer a death sentence- it is ultimately manageable with the proper medications. However, HPV is absolutely a killer- it is linked to colorectal cancer (and cervical cancer in women). If gay men start using PREP in mass and forgo condoms, I really worry about a spike in other venereal diseases like HPV (which has no cure).
