This is very true. But, when FB interaction becomes a substitute for all meaningful contact, it is suddenly less appealing.

I think many interpret the "Like" or comment on a friend's page as a legitimate social activity, and that's really just a false sense of interaction.

Not to sound whiny about it, but it's been bothering me. It's partly age, and partly realizing that I've been complicit as well.
