If it were cosmetic only, I don't think I would have justified the expense. If I don't do this, I will have significant structural damage and won't be able to close my mouth properly. And yeah, that's not too attractive either.
I've gotten a lot of support from family and friends, which is really cool. Doesn't alleviate the physical pain, though.
