The letter from the Grandparents following the DNA testing kinda says it all to me. It was their way of acknowledging that he was Jim's biological son, but was also saying that just because he was Jim's biologically, doesn't mean he's family to them. Which I can understand... I'm sure Jim's parents lives have been dominated by his rather salacious life and subsequent death. It's probably one seriously deep wound that is continually torn open with more salt poured in it. They probably feel shamed that they failed Jim and even themselves. And they might even be a bit disdaining of Jim for the negative connotation he brought to their family name. I'm just guessing, I know nothing of Jim Morrison's family. But to me, Jim's parents wouldn't have bothered responding to a paternity test had it not been a positive match.

I will say, this guy sure didn't inherit Jim's striking looks if he's really Jim's son. Yeah, there's a subtle resemblance, but with long hair and such, most anybody could fashion themselves to look like Jim. Or sound like him while singing.
