I seriously doubt that Billy would be offended, since it was Billy's suggestion to GET Rick in the band in the first place because he knew he wasn't capable of handing the intricacies required of the Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist spot. (Plus, he & Rick were working on an album at the time Mick called). Again, a Fleetwood Mac personnel decision by association. (Rick had previously played with John in a late 70's edition of John Mayall's band..."incestuous music biz" strikes again.)
