But people shouldn’t be too harsh on Cyrus. All she really wants to say is that, in her third studio album, little Miley has put away Hannah Montana’s childish things and has now entered the grown-up world of slick pop engineering, layers of precision keyboards, sporadic flare-ups of Auto-Tune, wall-to-wall choruses, melodramatic refrains, and a voice that is definitely maturing into Stevie Nicks junior.
