When I went to the SIR showcase for TISL in Hollywood, a number of people gate crashed. There was a door guy, but he was not really paying attention. Put on your flashiest duds, talk on your cellphone, valet park, and look like you have every right in the world to be there. You shouldn't have a problem. There's really no art to walking into a Hollywood party. Frankly, it's all about attitude.
If you don't make it in, so what ? Doesn't hurt to try.
