Argh, nursing homes. We took care of my uncle - he was actually a close family friend - for a few years before he finally passed away from melanoma. Towards the end, he went into a coma and quite often couldn't breathe on his own, which meant we were not able to care for him properly at home, so he had to go to a nursing home.
He passed away at the beginning of the year, and we are STILL dealing with shenanigans from that damn nursing home. Like they tried to bill us for the month of April. Which would be fine, except, y'know, Frank passed away at the beginning of
February.
My dad called to point this out, and the lady on the phone said, "Are you sure?"
