Landslide - originally by Fleetwood Mac, but I don’t actually listen to this version. However, I’m sure that version would have the same effect, just like the Smashing Pumpkins and Dixie Chicks versions do. I couldn’t even tell you what about this song gets to me necessarily, but the part where it says “I’ve been afraid of changing cuz I built my life around you”…if I’m not crying by then, that line gets me anytime. I think I like the theme of the song, the struggle to expand and grow, yet knowing you’ll be leaving people behind. And if I am already feeling miserable, I will often just turn this song on in the hopes that it will make me feel better.
