Nobody is forced to visit Chit Chat.
Personally, I think it's a lot of fun, for the most part. I enjoy interacting with a lot of the people here; I generally couldn't care less about FM's next "Rumours Re-hashed" tour, so if Chit Chat was taken away, I probably wouldn't be around too much, and I doubt a lot of others wouldn't, either. But maybe that's what some people want?
