I remember initially thinking the same thing when I first saw it. But then I realized he was just being honest about what life with her would have been like on the road. He has since said in his question and answer sessions how much he misses her and how great it woould have been for her to join them on stage in London...
I was actually more shocked by how much Mick, in the documentary, downplayed Chris's contribution to FM. He said "she was an asset to the band" and barely anything else.
Only Stevie's comments seemed genuinely warm. But again, the men felt the need to downplay her absence. The band did the same thing to Lindsey when he left in 88.
