"When The Crowds Are Gone" by Savatage (aka Trans Siberian Orchestra) from their "Ghost In the Ruins" release

I dedicate this song to Dawn Oliva (widow of Criss Oliva), Who passed away on Jan.11,2005...At last Dawn & Criss (Criss Oliva was the lead guitarist in Savatage until his untimely death from a drunken driver as Dawn & Criss drove to a show that Savatage was to have played in FL.) are finally together!

"When the crowds are gone
And I'm all alone
Playing a final song
Now that the lights are gone
Turn them on again
One more time for me my friend
Turn them on again

I never wanted to know
Never wanted to see
I wasted my time till time wasted me
Never wanted to go
Always wanted to stay
'Cause the person I am are the parts that I play
So I plot and I plan
And hope and I scheme
To the lure of the night
Filled with unfinished dreams
And I'm holding on tight
To a world gone astray

As they change me for years
I can no longer pay

And the lights
Turn them off my friend
And the ghosts
Well just let 'em in
'Cause in the dark
It's easier to see"-"When the Crowds are Gone"
