Even though the file has a .avi extension, you'll need the Divx codec at www.divx.com to decode it. The reason you were able to play only the audio portion is because Divx uses mp3 for the audio part of the file.

Here is the actual link to download the standard free Divx codec:

http://www.divx.com/divx/?src=toptab...rom_/index.php

Download and install the standard free Divx codec (at the bottom of the pay versions) in order to decode the file (not Dr. Divx or Divx Pro). The pay versions are for the Divx encoder to actually create a Divx file, which you don't need.

Once the codec is installed, you should be able to use any media player such as the windows media player (not just the Divx media player which installs with the codec) to play the file.
