I love Stan Lynch! I mean, I don't know anything about him personally. He may be a dick. But his drumming MADE that band. . . well, helped make that band. The replacement, Ferrone, sounds like a hundred other drummers. You could play me some Russ Kunkel or Steve Porcaro or Ferrone, and I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. But you play me Stan Lynch and I'll tell you immediately that it's Lynch. He's a unique stylist, like Mick Fleetwood or Charlie Watts.

As for Stevie fronting the Heartbreakers permanently, it doesn't seem like something that's very wise or like something that would please their legions of fans. It certainly doesn't make artistic sense. Aside from the few things that they wrote for her, she has no more connection to their catalogue than Tom Petty would have had to Fleetwood Mac's.
