As I am not from the US and understand this definition clearly....calling a female a whore for her sexual practises, as has been sadly done in the past on here, I find very offensive and rightly so...however a money whore or attention whore describing Mick for example, to me is not at all as I agree with the Dictionary definition. It entirely depends on whether it is a sexually based comment or not I believe.
