They're going with an angle that makes Lindsey look more unrreasonable/at fault and makes them look more innocent because they didn't expect the huge backlash.
The man who interviewed them also told the two women he met that the reason they're kicking off in Tulsa is so if it ends up badly, it won't be as talked about.
