Well, in the real world, if you stomped off in a huff and left your co-workers to try and muddle through finishing a job for a high-paying client without you; that's not generally good for your long-term job security.
IF it happened that is, (we have no real proof that it did)...there is enough running wild with speculation going on around here already so I will withhold judgement.
