Question Don't come around here no more

I heard this song on the radio coming home from work today. I had a flashback to when I first heard the song. I remember the anticipation of the first single and thinking I heard Stevie sing back up on the "Don't come around here no mores".
Am I the only one that heard this? I know she does not sing back up on the song but I think my mind was making me hear her because there was speculation she was working on Southern Accents with Tom. I remember being shocked she was not on the record or album.
Tell me was I just too Stevie crazy in 1985 or did anyone else faintly hear her back up on the track? Sharon Celani sings back up so maybe my ears did pick up the Stevie sound on the song.

Some sick ironies about this album and song. Both Southern Accents and Rock A Little were released in 1985. BOTH albums were delayed about a year due to extremely heavy drug use. Tom recorded Rebels in 1984 and was angry about the track and was so high that he punched a wall and broke his hand. I remember open speculation on the radio like what in the world is holding up Tom and Stevie's records?
Another sick irony is that Jimmy Iovine walked out on the Rock A Little recordings late in the game. Tom Petty hired Jimmy Iovine later in the process to finish Southern Accents. Even more crazy is the track Don't Come Around Here No More was inspired by a drug fueled night at Stevie's house and Joe Walsh showing up.
Long live the 80s!
